Prevention Network Board Members

Prevention Network Board is made up of community volunteers and professionals who volunteer personal time or whose participation is a contribution from their agencies to support community based prevention.

The Board members represent Michigan's geography, populations, and diverse prevention involvement. All are active in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention in their own communities.

Board Officers : Co-chairs [one from the volunteer sector and one from the professional sector.], Secretary, and Treasurer.

Board Committees : Executive, Grant Review, Conference/Training, Policy, and Nominating.

Board members have a hand in providing all Prevention Network programs. They review grant applications, plan conferences, deliver trainings, provide technical assistance, and contribute to Prevention Network News.

Board members provide input about what is happening in community based prevention. In turn, they take news, resources, opportunities, and ideas learned at Board meetings back to their community prevention programs.

As a body, Prevention Network Board advocates for effective prevention and for the public policy and resources needed to achieve this at local levels throughout Michigan.
