 Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking MCRUD is the Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking.  The mission of the Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking is to provide leadership on state and national issues and to assists individuals, grassroots groups, and organizations to reduce underage drinking locally.  Our primary mission is to assist you at the local level with the issues you have identified.  Therefore, the majority of our work is done at the local level.  Any work done at a larger level, state-wide or nationally, is done to support local grassroots efforts.

American Council on Science and Health (ACSH)
The American Council on Science and Health, Inc. (ACSH) is a consumer education consortium concerned with issues related to food, nutrition, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, lifestyle, the environment and health. ACSH is an independent, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization. http://www.acsh.org/

 

APIS is the Alcohol Policy Information System.  It is a program of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).  This site contains information on specific alcohol and underage drinking policy issues.  In addition, there are links to find specific laws that relate to alcohol use and underage drinking in the state of Michigan. http://alcoholpolicy.niaaa.nih.gov/index.asp

 

Drug Free Resource Net The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a nonprofit coalition of communication, health, medical and educational professionals working to reduce illicit drug use and help people live healthy, drug-free lives. www.drugfreeamerica.org

FACE Truth and Clarity on Alcohol A national media, training and advocacy organization focused on alcohol issues. FACE materials are famous for their hard-hitting messages that cut right to the core of issues surrounding alcohol use. www.faceproject.org

Higher Education Center The U.S. Department of Education established the Center to provide nationwide support for campus alcohol and other drug prevention efforts.  The Higher Education Center provides technical assistance, develops  publications, and conducts training workshops.  www.edc.org/hec/

Marin Institute The Marin Institute works to reduce alcohol problems through environmental prevention — improving our physical and social environment to advance public health and safety. The Marin Institute promotes effective alcohol policy, conducts media advocacy, and supports grassroots campaigns in Marin County, California and nationwide.www.marininstitute.org

Mothers Against Drunk Driving  A 501(c)(3) non-profit grass roots organization with more than 600 chapters nationwide.
