Prevention Competency Training – Assessment

This workshop will be an introduction to Needs Assessment. Participants will learn how to facilitate a needs assessment process with their coalition. Participants will learn to conduct a needs assessment to identify local substance abuse problems. The training outlines the steps and components of conducting a needs assessment, including data collection, identifying, and prioritizing the problem, and contributing factors. The workshop will conclude with strategies for summarizing and reporting the results of the assessment to stakeholders.
