The Closet provides aid to children in need in Livingston County. We provide clothing, underclothing, shoes, baby equipment and gear, hygiene products, furniture, and more. These items are gently used or new items that have been donated to us from the community and are free of charge. We believe that no parent or guardian should have to worry about clothing their child.

MSU Extension provides tools to help parents and caregivers get children ready for school and promote social and emotional health in young children.

The Michigan Poison & Drug Information Center is the only nationally accredited poison control center serving all residents in the state of Michigan. Specialists in Poison Information can be reached around the clock and every day of the year by calling 1-800-222-1222. Board-certified clinical toxicologists are available to consult with healthcare providers caring for poisoned patients who are being cared for in medical facilities in Michigan. Community education outreach services and resources are available by request on our website or by calling the Poison Helpline.

Jamie Daniels Foundation grants funds to support community partners that provide programs, resources, and solutions that address the ongoing drug epidemic in our country. The foundation also advocates for legislative change as it relates to drug use and prescribing. Our primary focus is on children, young adults (up to age 24), and their families who are battling Substance Use Disorder through three key initiatives: Prevention, Recovery, and Stigma Reduction.

Nurture the Future – a program of The Guidance Center – provides free resources and preventative education in the Downriver area to develop strong families and inspire and assist parents as they raise children.

We are a community mental health agency covering Manistee and Benzie Counties. We offer children’s services as well as school based prevention programming
