Designed for community leaders and prevention professionals, this training provides a step-by-step overview of conducting a Community Needs Assessment. Participants will learn how to gather and analyze data, engage community partners, and identify strengths, gaps, and priorities to inform effective strategies that address local challenges.
Objectives:
- Describe the step-by-step process of conducting a Community Needs Assessment, including methods for collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Apply strategies for engaging community partners and stakeholders throughout the needs assessment process to build collaborative buy-in and gather diverse perspectives.
- Analyze assessment findings to identify community strengths, gaps, and priorities, and use these results to inform the development of effective, locally tailored prevention strategies.
