This training equips participants with the tools, techniques, and strategies to facilitate group work effectively across various environments and platforms. Participants will define facilitation in prevention settings, explore the stages of group development, and strengthen communication and decision-making skills. The session introduces a five-step structured experience process and provides practical approaches for navigating challenging scenarios through planning, feedback, and discussion.
Objectives:
- Describe the role of facilitation in prevention settings and identify key responsibilities of an effective facilitator.
- Explain the stages of group development and how facilitation strategies shift across each stage.
- Identify tools and techniques for managing communication, decision making, and challenging scenarios using a structured experience process.
