2026 National Conference on Addiction Recovery Science

Virtual | September 23-24, 2026

Registration is now open for the 2026 National Conference on Addiction Recovery Science (NCARS), with early bird registration available through July 24, 2026.

Taking place virtually on September 23-24, 2026, NCARS is the first national conference dedicated exclusively to substance use disorder recovery science.

The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, students, and community partners to share emerging research, foster collaboration, and advance the science of recovery. Attendees can participate in plenary presentations from national leaders, scientific symposia, roundtable discussions, poster sessions, mentoring opportunities, and networking with recovery organizations from across the country.

2026 Mentoring Program

NCARS is also accepting participants for its 2026 Mentoring Program, which pairs students, community members, postdoctoral fellows, early career faculty, and others interested in research careers with experienced researchers in the field of addiction recovery science. The program includes a virtual mentor-mentee networking session during the conference, along with an additional meeting before or after the event. Organizers are also seeking senior scientists and established researchers who would be willing to participate as mentors.
