DEA Detroit Division Family Summit

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Time: 10 am – 4 pm
Location: Outdoor Adventure Center; 1801 Atwater Street, Detroit, MI 48207
Cost: Free

Have you lost a loved one to an overdose or fentanyl poisoning? You’re invited to the DEA Detroit Division Family Summit, a free, one-day event for families and loved ones who are grieving and want to connect, understand more, and find a way forward. At the summit you’ll hear from DEA leadership and local and federal partners about the drug threat facing Detroit, what’s being done in our neighborhoods, and how the legal process works after a loss. You’ll also hear from parents who turned their grief into action through school presentations, national advocacy, and support networks that now reach thousands of families. The day includes Grieving Forward, a trauma-informed session that makes space to remember your loved one as a whole person, share your story if and when you choose, and find meaningful next steps. Participation is always your choice. You’ll leave with local resources, support groups, and organizations you can join, along with connections to other families who understand what you’re going through.

If you would like, please bring a photo, poster, or personal item to honor your loved one at our Tribute Table.

Lunch will be provided. Space is limited, and registration is required.
