Prevention Ethics Training of Trainers-Virtual
This virtual training of trainers will prepare experienced substance misuse prevention trainers to deliver the 6-hour Foundations in Prevention Ethics course. Participation in the training of trainers includes a 5-hour interactive Zoom session plus approximately 2 hours of pre-training homework assignments.
Participant Eligibility
Criteria for eligible participants include:
- Ability to participate in the full 5-hour Zoom session
- Ability to complete and submit via a Google document the pre-training homework assignments (approximately 2 hours of work)
- Commits to conducting at least two Foundations in Prevention Ethics courses within the next year independently and with other prevention ethics trainers
- Successfully completed a Foundation in Prevention Ethics course
- Has worked in the substance misuse prevention field for at least 3 years
- Has strong training and facilitation skills and experience that can be applied to conducting the ethics in prevention courses with fidelity upon completion of the training of trainers
- Works in the Great Lakes region (IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI) – Those outside the region will be placed on a waitlist and accepted if space is available
Course Structure
- One, 5-hour Zoom session on September 3 from 11-4 EST with a 30-minute mid-session break and two breaks (total of 4 learning hours)
- Two hours of required pre-training homework assignments

Participants who attend the full 5-hour Zoom session and submit their homework assignments will receive a certificate of completion.
