This training offers historical context and practical insights into how SPF supports sustainable, data-driven prevention planning and implementation.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the five steps of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework and explain how each contributes to effective prevention planning.
  2. Explain the SPF’s two guiding principles—cultural competence and sustainability—and how they strengthen prevention outcomes.
  3. Identify how the SPF supports data driven decision making and improves long term prevention implementation across communities.
